Jeremy Clarkson has admitted that he is “genuinely frightened” ahead of his next career move.

The presenter, who lives in Oxfordshire, has rarely been off TV screens during his long career, which has spanned several decades.

From starring in popular motoring shows with Richard Hammond and James May, like Top Gear and The Grand Tour, to hosting gameshows such as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Mr Clarkson usually can be found on the schedule.

The 65-year-old has even found further success in recent years with Prime Video show Clarkson’s Farm, which takes place at his Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington and The Farmer’s Dog pub in Asthall.

However, in a new interview promoting his newest ITV project, Millionaire Hot Seat, Mr Clarkson revealed that he was “genuinely frightened”.

This is due to him not filming a TV show for the first time in 40 years, with no new season of Clarkson’s Farm to be sorted after filming on the upcoming fifth series wrapped in September.

“I’m genuinely frightened because until March, I won’t be filming a TV show for the first time in forty years,” said Mr Clarkson.

“That will be three months of sh**. You would rot if you didn’t [work].”

Millionaire Hot Seat will launch on ITV in January 2026, ahead of the release of Clarkson’s Farm series five later on in the year on Prime Video.

Eight episodes of the farming documentary are expected to drop in the spring if the release pattern follows the previous couple of years.
