Jeremy Clarkson releasing cookbook from Cotswolds pub
The TV star known for his work on Top Gear, The Grand Tour and Clarkson’s Farm purchased The Windmill in Asthall for around £1,000,000 last year.
Renovating the Cotswolds boozer near Burford and renaming it The Farmer’s Dog, he opened it to the public in August 2024.
A popular spot with locals and tourists ever since, customers have flocked in to have meals and a pint of Hawkstone.

In his latest venture, Mr Clarkson is releasing a Farmer’s Dog cookbook in time for Christmas.
An official statement from the pub said: “The Farmer’s Dog Cookbook is a celebration of proper British produce and the people who grow it.
“This book brings together simple, hearty recipes from The Farmer’s Dog pub, all of which we make with locally sourced ingredients and an unwavering determination to support British farming.
“Whenever you cook something from the book, we urge you to do the same. It’s not just a book of recipes, though.

“You’ll also find an intro from Jeremy, some of the stories behind the food, a guide to sourcing ingredients close to home, and a brief history of how The Farmer’s Dog came to exist in the first place.
“The Farmer’s Dog Cookbook is a slice of the pub you can take home and, we hope, use as inspiration to back British farming.
“While also creating some really, really nice food.”
The book is priced at £34 and is available to preorder now with shipping from Monday, December 1.
