Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he’s ‘genuinely frightened’ over his television future as he provided a major career update.

The 65-year-old presenter is best known for his work on the BBC motoring programme Top Gear, which he presented with Richard Hammond and James May. Jeremy was the lead presenter on the series from 2002 until 2015, when he and his co-stars shockingly left the BBC.

From here, the boys went on to land The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime Video. Once again showing off the best cars in the world, the series concluded last year in an emotional finale after six acclaimed seasons.

Sticking with Prime Video, Jeremy has been seen running his popular Diddly Squat Farm on his latest hit show Clarkson’s Farm since 2021. With the fourth series of Clarkson’s Farm released earlier this year, fans are eagerly waiting to see where it goes next in season five.

On top of this, Jeremy has presented the iconic ITV quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire since 2018. Jeremy is the first person to host the UK version since Chris Tarrant’s era came to an end in 2014.

However, Jemy has not revealed that he’s taking a TV break for the first time in 40 years. Jeremy has decided to pause filming on Clarkson’s Farm and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in order to take some time off but admitted he is ‘frightened’ about the break.

He told The Sun: “I’m genuinely frightened because until March, I won’t be filming a TV show for the first time in forty years. That will be three months of s***.”

Meanwhile, Jeremy also spoke about how he took too much on last year, including trying to juggle the opening of his new pub The Farmer’s Dog and doing the harvest on his farm.

Saying his workload led to him being hospitalised, Jeremy explained: “And it’s very well documented I ended up in hospital with a heart problem, when you see how stressful it was trying to do those two things – there’s simply no sleep.

“I was coming back knackered from a day trying to get the pub open, and having to get straight into the tractor to do grain carting through the night.

“You can’t make the harvest wait, if it’s dry, ready and fit, as they say in farming I’ve discovered, if the wheat and barley fit you’ve got to get out there. God it was knackering.”

While filming has paused on Clarkson’s Farm, Diddly Squat Farm, where it takes place, continues to operate as normal as enjoys farmlife with the pressure of having to be on camera for it.

He said: “Filming at Diddly Squat has stopped for a little while, but the farming goes on. Today, I have rented out a pig for sexual purposes.”
