Clarkson’s Farm stars open up in new podcast interview

The episode of the TWC podcast follows the opening of the Swindon business’ latest store in Witney, just over a month ago.

The episode, which is the second of the podcast’s second series, is set to be published this week (commencing Monday, November 10) and will be focused on Witney’s past, present and future.

Both men have gained some celebrity for their appearances on hit Amazon Prime television series Clarkson’s Farm with Mr Townsend leading several construction projects and Mr Cooper in charge of security at Diddly Squat Farm.

Councillor Jane Doughty, deputy mayor of Witney, also appeared on the podcast after opening the new store with Mr Townsend.

Although the podcast series is generally focused on windows, doors and living spaces this one looked to celebrate Witney’s enduring community spirit.

Within it, Mr Cooper recalled when he used to play football, said a spokesperson for TWC Home Improvements, who added that he also recalled “his many trophies and joked about being ‘good but dirty’ on the pitch”.

Ms Doughty talked about dancing at the old cinema-turned nightclub and the trio also paid tribute to Elvira Delnevo’s legendary haberdashery shop.

The TWC Home Improvements spokesperson said: “The town’s industrial past was fondly remembered, from blanket factories to Bowyer’s pies, where nearly everyone once worked.”

In addition, several events were previewed including the Christmas lights switch on and the festive market at Marriott’s Walk Shopping Centre.

The podcast series can be found on Apple, Spotify and TWC’s website.
