Now, he has given a brand new update on the farm in his latest column for The Sun.

Writing in The Sun, Jeremy confirmed that his Oxfordshire farm was free of TB for the first time in seven months.

He penned: “After seven months of lockdown, Diddly Squat farm became officially TB-free this week.”

However, he went on to confirm that just as they found out that piece of positive news, he and his farmhands were dealt another shocking blow.

He continued to write: “But before we had a chance to celebrate, we found out that one of our donkeys has laminitis and must be put down.

“In farming, it seems you are allowed one bit of good news, but it must always be accompanied by some kind of disaster.”

The sad news comes just two weeks after Jeremy welcomed a brand new donkey to his farm.

It is not known if it is his latest donkey which has been affected by the disease.

Jeremy called the donkey New Ben – a seeming replacement for his previous donkey – also called Ben.

The first Ben was regularly posted on social media alongside his companion Bill, having come to Diddly Squat Farm to spend their retirement in June 2025.

In the comments, many asked Jeremy whether new Ben would be living with another donkey.

One wrote: “I hope you have another donkey for Ben, donkeys shouldn’t live on their own and other livestock aren’t suitable companions.”

Jeremy replied: “Yes. We know that.”

The star is currently in the process of filming the latest series of his Prime Video series, Clarkson’s Farm.
