Kaleb Cooper, the spirited young farmer from Clarkson’s Farm, recently opened up about the impact farming has had on his life.
Cooper was thrust into the public eye in 2021 when he joined Jeremy Clarkson on his agricultural adventures at Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire.
The young farmer’s frank and often funny clashes with Clarkson have created some of the show’s most memorable moments.
While Cooper’s future looks bright, the young farmer revealed in an interview with Heat magazine that life was difficult before he found his calling.
During the emotional chat, Cooper admitted that farming “saved” him during a turbulent period of his life.

While reflecting on his parents’ difficult divorce, he explained that his mother started to struggle financially, which prompted him to look for work at a very young age.
He told Heat: “Mum struggled to pay the rent and I went out to get a job. From what I knew about farming, it just appealed to me.
“I got my first job when I was just 12 and by age 13 I had my own business.”
Farming not only provided him with a livelihood but also helped him overcome the emotional strain of his family life.

He went on to tell Gloucestershire Live: “Farming saved me as a person. I think I’d be horrible if farming didn’t come along because the divorce wasn’t nice, and I became a bit of an a***hole.”
Getting stuck in to the world of agriculture allowed Cooper to channel his energy positively, and now his role on Clarkson’s Farm has made him a beloved public figure.
He continues to work closely with Clarkson while managing the 1,000-acre Diddly Squat Farm.
A third season of Clarkson’s Farm was released earlier this year and there is now a fourth in the works, so Cooper’s career seems set to continue following an upwards trajectory.
